Velec E3
Velec is a Canadian e-bike brand that has been operating from Quebec since 2005. They offer a wide range of product, but we were most impressed with the new E3 model. These bikes will suit our local trails and roads. With its low, open frame, the E3's unique size adapts to cyclists from 4ft11 to 6ft. 27"5 wheels increase pedaling inertia and thus its range. The bike is equipped with a 500-watt rear-wheel motor, and a 36V 10Ah or 15Ah frame-mounted battery, which can be removed from the left side of the frame. The integration of cables and several components (controller, rear light) gives it a modern look and highlights the frame's Quebec engineering.

Arriving in May
E-Bike Rebate Ends April 4th!
It was just announced that the Nova Scotia rebate on e-bikes will end April 4, 2025. This is disappointing news for sure, so if you have been thinking about an e-bike for this summer, now is the time. We can no longer process the rebates in-store, but we will give you a hand getting your rebate processed. The good news is that stock availability is good and there are some great deals still around.
Rose's new Cutthroat
I know, I know, white bar tape is a bold choice, but it looks pretty awesome on Rose's new Salsa Cutthroat Apex AXS. This is a cool drop-bar mtb that is ready for whatever terrain your planned (or unplanned) adventure may have in store. The Cutthroat uses mountain bike standards for wheels and BB to provide maximum tire clearance. Rose's bike is running Teravail Sparwood 29x2.2's, a fast-rolling, high-volume gravel tire. This is a carbon frame running SRAM Apex AXS wireless with a Transmission derailleur, wide bars and a cool paint job.

Last Lap Around The Lake?
Conditions were pretty amazing this morning for a fatbike cruise around Oakland Lake. We'll see how the weather pans out through the week, but if this ice melts, today will be a great reminder of how amazing winter can be.
