Choose Your Route:

Map – Option A: Trail Route, 25 km
Along the Bay to Bay Trail, arriving in Lunenburg at the Old Railway Station, then ride over to the Fisheries Museum for lunch on streets of Lunenburg. Return along the same route. This option will give participants lots of time to visit historic Lunenburg, and explore the Fisheries Museum.
Map – Option B: Trail and Scenic Road Route, 25 km
Road route along Mader’s Cove, Prince’s Inlet, Sunnybrook, Second Peninsula Rd to Lunenburg for lunch. Returning along the Bay to Bay Trail to Mahone Bay Centre for Wrap up party at 3pm. This option will give participants lots of time to visit historic Lunenburg, and explore the Fisheries Museum.
Map – Option C: 50Km Road and Trail “Figure 8”
If you enjoy “mixing it up” between riding along the scenic roadways and enjoying the blissfully quiet ride along the trail, and are looking for a little more distance – this will be the route for you. Depart Mahone Bay along the scenic Mader’s Cove and Prince’s Inlet route to The Second Peninsula Provincial Picnic Park and into Lunenburg. Return along the Bay to Bay Trail, then ride the scenic Oakland road to Indian Point and return to Mahone along the Dynamite Trail.
Map – Option D: Road Ride 40km “Blue Rocks Short”
Looking for a little longer ride but not quite ready for 60km? This scenic ocean-side route will take you over to Lunenburg along Mader’s Cove and Prince’s Inlet (12km), then after lunch, continue to Blue Rocks and re-trace your route to Mahone Bay(28km). The post-lunch segment of this ride will take longer to complete so you may wish to do a little shopping and exploring before your lunch in Lunenburg.
Map – Option E: Road Route – Blue Rocks, 60 km
Road route along Mader’s Cove, Prince’s Inlet, Second Peninsula to Bachman’s Beach & Steven’s Farm, then back to Lunenburg for lunch. After lunch, ride to Blue Rocks and return, back onto Second Peninsula Road, then Prince’s Inlet, Sunnybrook, Mader’s Cove and back to Mahone Bay for Wrap-up party at 3pm. This route will allow participants an hour or so to explore Lunenburg.
Map – Option F: Road Route – Long, 104 km (Self-Guided)
Road route along Mader’s Cove, Prince’s Inlet, Second Peninsula to Bachman’s Beach & Steven’s Farm, then out to Blue Rocks via Back Harbour and return to Lunenburg for lunch. After lunch ride through Mason’s Beach, to Rose Bay, Left at Rose Bay to visit Hirtle’s Beach then on to Riverport and Lahave. Ride Grimm Road, back to Lunenburg, return to Mahone Bay via Second Peninsula Road, Prince’s Inlet, Mader’s Cove for Wrap-up Party starting at 3pm. This route will be more about the ride and less about the visiting. . **This route will NOT be Guided/Swept and requires that participants are prepared to complete the distance un-assisted within an appropriate time.
If you would like to add a little extra challenge to your 25km or 60km route, consider riding the 21km loop to Indian Point along the scenic shore-line and returning along the Dynamite Trail.
