The Mahone Bay Fatbike Festival – Join us on Sunday, February 3rd to celebrate the fun of fatbiking! The Fest aims to bring together fatbikers from near and far for a good time on the snow and trails surrounding Mahone Bay.  We will have a selection of Specialized Fatboy fatbikes to try, and there will be demo bikes available from Banks Bikes, Valley Stove and Cycle, Hub Cycle and Rocky Mountain. There will be a group ride, fun race and some (hopefully) snowy obstacles to ride. All the action will start from the Mahone Bay Centre where will will have a warm up area, bathrooms and warm food and drink by The Bicycle Lunchbox and Saltbox Brewery. Things get underway at 11am.

11-3pm – Demo rides start on the field behind the Mahone Bay Center. ID is required to try a bike. Each demo ride is limited to 20mins, to keep the flow of bikes going. Guided rides will start every half hour or so, and will be suited to beginner and intermediate riders. Demo bikes are not available for the longer group rides.

12pm – Group rides will head out. There will be two groups, one for advanced riders that will be on singletrack, moderately technical terrain, and another group that will ride the rail-trail. 90mins or so, depending on conditions.

2pm – Fun race on the field!

11-3pm – Food and drink will be available inside the Mahone Bay Centre. Warm up area, washrooms will be open and there will be some event t-shirts for sale. ($15)
